An exclusive ambience of bygone days near Lake Garda
The palace, dating back to 1654, has recently been lovingly restored to offer accommodation in an exclusive ambience. Nestled in the moraine hills of the Valtenesi, it offers a total of 10 rooms and is situated a few minutes from Lake Garda.
The farmhouse consists of an old palace that has been returned to its former splendour thanks to careful restoration work. Various types of rooms are offered by the facility: Royal Suite, Junior Suite, one of which is dedicated to the disabled, Superior mansard rooms and Classic mansard rooms.
Staying in these exclusive and refined surroundings allows you to experience unique emotions.
It is in this unique place surrounded by greenery, among its 3 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees, that you can spend a regenerating holiday, thanks to the tranquillity and healthy atmosphere of its countryside.
Restaurant
The 'Chiocciola' restaurant is located on the ground floor and its vaulted rooms decorated with frescoes overlook the portico of the verdant inner courtyard.
In this warm and convivial atmosphere, you can enjoy traditional local dishes prepared in an innovative way using fresh garden produce, fine herbs and extra virgin olive oil from local Gardesane olives. In the morning you will be surprised by the rich breakfast buffet consisting of typical local cheeses, cold meats, homemade cakes and jams.
And as privileged guests, you can participate in tastings of local products.
An ancient, cool wine cellar dating back to the 1500s, with a characteristic barrel-vaulted ceiling and stone walls: here you can smell the scent of fermenting must and taste the wines produced with undiminished care, passion and dedication. The wines are extracted from "Goppello" grapes, a princely vine of the Garda Bresciano area, whose name derives from the particular conformation of its grape cluster, narrow and compact like a "Groppo", a knot in the local dialect.
To complete the experience, we recommend adding to the tasting a tantalising sampling of cured meats and cheeses from the Alpine valleys of Valcamonica, Valtrompia, Valsabbia and Alto Garda Bresciano.
History
Agriturismo Unicorno is nestled among the vineyards and fruit and olive trees of the Valténesi, three hectares of lush hills. Its structure, dating back to 1654, is the oldest house in the hamlet of Macesìna, a small agricultural village of Bedizzole in the province of Brescia, in western Lombardy and just a few minutes from Lake Garda.
Situated within an old agricultural residence, L'Unicorno consists of an original core dating back to the 16th century and a Lombard-style courtyard, added later. It was completed in 1777 with the construction of a luminous gallery supported by a colonnade of local Botticino marble and the mansard dated 1779.
In the house, the charm of the exclusive ambience of yesteryear blends harmoniously with the latest biocompatible restoration techniques and renewable energy technologies.
