The Villa
Villa Poggiano welcomes its guests in a refined and exclusive ambience that retains the warmth of family management. It is a corner of peace, where the rhythm of time is marked slowly and where you will find exceptional service combined with authentic Italian hospitality.
The 11 suites and 3 rooms are elegantly furnished with period furniture, paintings and objects, each one different. Breakfast will be served at the table or in your room.
A marvellous swimming pool with statues and fountains made entirely of travertine invites one to relax.

History
The villa was built in the 18th century as a country estate by the noble Gagnoni family from Siena. A large 200-hectare plot of land was part of the villa that was used for the production of wine and olive oil.
Over the decades, different ownerships followed, but it was
always used only as a summer residence.
When the Savini family bought the Villa in 2000, it was completely abandoned and in total decline - bare inside, the park and gardens completely uncultivated, the destroyed swimming pool full of weeds a refuge for frogs and snakes.
In 2003 they opened the villa to guests as a hotel. Step by step it was restored and converted into what we can see today in the rooms and suites. The restoration was completed at the beginning of 2008.

Villa Pogginao offers private and exclusive tastings in Montepulciano's most prestigious wine cellars, cooking courses to learn some typical Tuscan recipes, to go in search of black truffles and learn their secrets, and yoga courses to rediscover well-being and achieve the ideal balance between body and mind.
